Aim:
To support clients in meeting their legal responsibilities for the selection and management of competent contractors and to understand their duties as a client under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Objectives:
This half day training course provides an overview of the shared legal responsibilities for managing contractors and CDM.
Following this course attendees will:
- Be aware of good practice for the management of contractors, including; selection, appointment, pre-site/work documentation and communication, monitoring and management review.
- Understand the role and responsibilities of all parties within CDM, including; client, principal designer, principal contractor, designer and contractor.
- Prepare an action plan to ensure that the learning from this course can be implemented.
- Review the company policies and procedures for contractor management and CDM.
